Dual Language Program Overview

Dual Language Program Overview: 50/50 Model

The Rochester City School District (RCSD) Prekindergarten Dual Language program is designed to foster biliteracy, bilingualism, and biculturalism. Utilizing a 50/50 instructional model, students receive a balanced education in both Spanish and English to ensure high levels of academic achievement and linguistic proficiency in both languages.

Program Delivery

The teacher and paraprofessional work collaboratively to provide 50% of instruction in Spanish and 50% in English. This structured approach ensures that students are immersed in a language-rich environment throughout the school day.
